Credit where credit is due. The original idea for the Horas Hash came from Rudy "Lagger" Lie. Now as Lagger was one of the founding members of the Medan Hash, back in 1973, you would think he ought to have known better! But I guess over thirty years of hashing must either impair ones judgment, or make you think you are bullet proof.
So, here he was, proposing a an annual hash pilgrimage to Lake Toba for three days of doing what hashers do best . . . running and drinking of course!
When they say the older you get, the the more foolish you are, I think they are right. But where you find one fool you are always likely to find another. That is how I got roped into Lagger's scheme. We had set runs in Lake Toba together many times and Lagger knew how much I liked the area, so he figured I would be an easy sell on his idea . . . and he wasn't wrong.
The Two Protagonists . Stainless & Lagger
With two hash fools now working on the concept it didn't take long for things to start to come together. First we needed a name for the event. As Lake Toba was to be the area where we would be running we needed something associated with the region. . . . >>> the story continues . . .
